My Favorite Beauty Buys Right Now

I'm definitely one of those people who will put on a little bit of makeup almost every morning - except for the weekends. (Apologies in advance if you see me grocery shopping lol) It makes me feel more put together and helps to freshen up my face a bit. I get the opportunity to try quite a few products through the blog, but I noticed I pretty much stick to the same routine every day especially when I find key products that I love. I thought it would be fun to share what my favorite beauty buys are right now. You can even find most of these at your local drug store which is a huge plus!

IT COSMETICS BROW POWER UNIVERSAL EYEBROW PENCIL

I mentioned this eyebrow pencil in my Friday Five post from December, but I'm still using it! I'm super lazy when it comes to my eyebrows mostly because they are fairly thick but don't really have a shape, so why spend time trying to shaping them? This pencil adds a little color and fills in a couple thinner spots. It seems to last through out the day which is important since I don't exactly touch up my brows haha

LAURA GELLER BAKED GELATO ILLUMINATOR

I'm still obsessed with my illuminator from Laura Geller. I received it last summer when I was in NYC for meetings and haven't put it down since! It's seriously perfect for adding a little date night glow or everyday highlight during the summer when you're already a little bronzed (as I clearly am not in the above photo haha!). I have the shade, Gilded Honey, and I can't recommend it enough. If you treat yourself to one thing this week... make it this product! Since I use just a little bit, I know it will last me quite a while.

L'OREAL VOLUMINOUS VOLUME PRIMER & MASCARA

I just tried this mascara, as I received it a few months ago. Guys, I love it! In the past I've used a sample of a Bobbi Brown mascara or one from Covergirl, but I think the primer really does work! It also doesn't make my under eyes really black, which is a major win for any mascara. The curved wand is supposed to help create volume, too. Looks like I found my new favorite mascara!

SALLY HANSEN MIRACLE GEL NAILPOLISH

Ever since my gel manicure a few weeks ago, I've been on a mission to keep my nails longer and stronger. I picked up the Creme de la Creme shade of miracle gel polish and really like how it looks on my nails for this time of year. I hate when I wear a dark shade and my nails start chipping. I just feel like it makes my nails look super messy. I will say, it's not as thick as a true gel manicure, but does last two or three days longer than normal.

URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE

I'm fairly new to the Urban Decay scene, but this palette really is an amazing deal. I got it last summer and use some form of the colors everyday. I went with the original because it has the perfect amount of light, medium and dark shades. I typically use brown/pinks on the lighter side and this was a great pick. Just another great beauty buy to add to you list :)

BEACHWAVER CO S1.25 CURLING IRON

I talk about this curling iron all the time, but it's seriously the only one I use. It comes with a higher price tag... but it's worth it! Since my hair is longer, I use the S1.25 curling iron, but I think the S1 would be suitable for all hair types. I can't recommend this guy enough!

CETAPHIL DERMACONTROL OIL CONTROL MOISTURIZER SPF 30

Last, but never least (in fact, almost always first..), my daily moisturizer! I've been trying to use an SPF everyday because skin cancer is so much more prominent then we think. I would say I have combination skin that gets a little more oily during summer or after a long day, but can get dry during the winter. I was worried the oil control would make my skin super dry over winter, but it hasn't at all! In fact, I think it's helped tone down my oil just slightly to make it more manageable.

So, tell me! What are some of your favorite beauty buys right now?

  1. You always have the best beauty products! And I think I need your help learning how to use my beachwaver, it is tricky to figure out how to use it!
