Soaking Up Summer

It’s hard to believe we’re just over a month away from the actual last day of summer, September 22nd. I’m already dreading summer Fridays coming to a close at work post Labor Day, but in the meantime, I’m doing my best to make the most out of this Chicago season. Just because summer technically ends, doesn’t mean those happy hours and girl’s get togethers have to stop!

I’m actually headed out of town soon for a quick weekend trip to Florida for a bestie’s bachelorette party! I haven’t seen my dear friend in several months, so I’m even more excited to finally be in the same room as her and for all of us to enjoy the beach for a few days. See? Even though summer is ending.. I’m still headed to a beach :)

One of the items that I always pack with me while traveling is MiO water enhancer. I know I’ve talked about it previously both here and here, but it adds a little extra flavor to my typical water. The best part about taking it along is that it’s easily packable. Whether you’re headed on a road trip or a flight, it can simply be tucked into your purse. If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that I need to be hydrated especially before and during this bachelorette trip!

And what’s on my packing list? Well, I’ve pretty much been living in this top from Old Navy. One of my favorite things about it is that it’s a sweater, but also a tank. I can easily dress it up or down and it’s super versatile for our weather that seems to always be fluctuating. I actually picked up this distressed skirt (similar option) from a little boutique in Nashville, Dress Up, when I was there this spring, so I’ve linked a similar one below!

I’d love to hear what you have planned for the last few weeks of summer! It’s been several weekends since I last had the chance to just kick back at home, enjoy the pool and run errands. I’m actually looking forward to that beyond the upcoming bachelorette!
