Styling a Bodysuit for Spring

Hi friends! As you might have seen from my lack of blogging, I took some vacation time and headed on down to Nashville with my family to visit my sister this past week. While I've certainly been lucky to travel quite a bit this quarter, this was the longest couple of days I took off work, so I was really excited to [somewhat] disconnect for a bit! I actually didn't take many photos during the trip either. Was trying my best to enjoy being with family and taking some mental photo memories 😉

What's actually a bit surprising is that I have zero flight/vacations planned until December this year for a wedding. There are certainly a number of places on my list to head to, but gotta save those dolla bills... ya feel me? Hard to believe that I didn't take one day of vacation until April 1 last year - when I went to Ireland for a week. Can we cheers to the fact we are now in Q2 though?!

One of the items I lived in over the past few days while in Nashville was actually this jean jacket! I forget all of the ways a jean jacket or chambray top can be paired with items. So many options! Our midwest weather calls for lots of layers, so pairing it with a comfy sweater and causal tennies is the only way to go on the weekends. It says I did but didn't really try... at least that's the look I'm going for haha

Did I mentioned that I also discovered the happiness of a bodysuit? I've seen endless ladies pulling them off, but I wasn't totally sure I could do it myself! I was eyeing this pretty black lace one from Aerie and boy, am I glad I tried it! My "girls" are fairly larger (I try to conceal them well 😂 ), and I was nervous this bodysuit would be super low. However, I was totally wrong! It's the perfect amount of sexy and tasteful. It's seriously so comfy and you all need one asap! I'm also loving this striped one from AE. It would be super cute with a pair of jean shorts or a distressed denim skirt for warmer weather.

While I'm not exactly excited to get back to work (because who is? haha), I'm ready to get back in the swing of things, sleep in my own bed tonight and just finish up some food prep this evening before battling what's to come. What does everyone have planned for the week?
