Windy City Style + You're Invited!

How's everyone feeling after the extra long holiday weekend? I'm certainly wishing we had 4 day weeks every week. For anyone who believes summer is over - I hate to say it, but you're wrong (until Sept 22nd)! This 90 degree hot and humid weather still has me thinking all about sundresses. The good thing is- they are a staple item for transitioning easily from summer to fall.

When I went to California (about 2 weeks ago), I packed several pieces that could easily be layered. Once the sun goes down, the ocean breeze really kicks in - but hey... I'd take that any day! Like the West Coast, during late summer in Chicago, the weather gets cooler and everyone is pulling out their vests and leather boots. I, on the other hand, am pulling out items like this light weight sweater or my jean jacket. I'm a sucker for that 70 degree sweatshirt weather especially when it involves a trip to the farmers market!

As promised, I have a fun announcement! In partnership with Vera Bradley (where my adorable leather saddlebag is from!), I will be hosting an in store event this Saturday, September 9th at the Woodfield Mall location. For all my city friends, I know it's a tiny bit of a drive, but it's an amazing location to have a girls day shopping because after all, #itsgoodtobeagirl!

I'll be at the store from about 10am-12pm doing some style demonstrations and chatting it up with all of you. I would be absolutely thrilled if you stopped by, even for a few minutes! Did I mention there will be 15% off promo cards and maybe some Sugarfina sweets for you too?
