Sooo when can I go on vacation? And by vacation I mean somewhere with a beach, ocean spray and serves pina coladas. Ive grown up in a suburb of Chicago, but this is my first actual winter in the city. Let me tell you, I'm used to the cold... but the wind is no joke! They don't call this the Windy City for nothing!
Before it got to bitter cold, I was able to catch up with Sarah (no surprise there right?) and we headed to Restoration Hardware for brunch. Warning: we arrived when it opened and still had to wait an hour for our seats, but it was totally worth it! The food was amazing. We all ordered something different so we could share our plates - best idea ever. I can't wait to go back!
This outfit was perfect for an afternoon out and about. The jacket easily dressed up this otherwise casual look. I'm obsessed with the color and don't have anything else like it so I was especially excited to purchase it (and it being 50% off didn't hurt!). But, my other favorite part of this looks is this Vera Bradley bag. I'm still using it and it fits so much. I toted it around while I was in NYC to carry my camera and I take it with me to work everyday- I'm obsessed and you need one asap.
I paired a solid, oversized turtleneck underneath to help keep my neck warm. It might look a little silly with another scarf over the fur, so the turtleneck was the perfect choice.
What is everyone planning for this weekend? Stay warm if you're in Chicago!

Thanks for the photos Sarah!
I love this look Katie! The turtleneck under your coat looks great with the fur line on your jacket! Restoration Hardware was so much fun, we might have to go back at night for a glass of wine soon! :)
