5 Step Everyday Makeup Routine

Now that I showed you my at home facial secret, I thought showing you my everyday makeup routine a.k.a holiday survival routine, would be the next best thing to tackle! As I've started to try and clear up my skin and drink more water, I've also been looking at affordable and "good for the skin" type products to use (...stayed tuned on how I keep it affordable with Groupon Coupons!).

While I'd love to have lots of MAC, Benefit Cosmetics and NARS products filling my makeup bag, it's just not realistic and/or feasable at this time. I definitely have products from those brands, but I'm a total sucker for more affordable brands like e.l.f and Covergirl. - which by the way... work just as great, if not even better! So, with a little help from those beauty brands (and more), I'm showing you my 5 step makeup routine for prepping for celebrations this season in just five simple steps. This makeup is also the perfect base for going from day to night.

My everyday make up routine a.k.a holiday survival routine goes a little something like this:
  1. Cleanse, Tone & Moisturize:  I wash my face every morning and night. I used to use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Grapefruit Wash, but I recently switched over to Frank Body Face Wash and Moisturizer. I loved that the Neutrogena would also take off my make up, but since switching over, I think it was a bit harsh on my skin. I also started using the Simple Soothing Facial Toner after washing. To be 100% honest, I'm not sure it is doing much, but when I last received a facial, she suggested I give it a try!
  2. Foundation: I'm currently using CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation with an e.l.f stipple brush - I love it! For this tutorial, I used the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation that is a little lighter on the skin for everyday coverage. I also started using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer after my sister got me hook. I don't know what I was doing with out it before!
  3. Mascara: Adding a little mascara to your lashes can totally change a look and help your pretty eyes pop! I also have two product favorites by CoverGirl- the Super Sizer Mascara and the Clump Crusher Mascara.
  4. Blush: I've had a really great palette from Tarte that I love for blush/bronzer. However, I recently picked up the Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Deep Coral and I love it!
  5. Lipstick: More CoverGirl products of course :) This Outlast lipstick in Pink Pow is a perfect touch of color without being too bold and bright. Adding a swipe to my lips instantly boosts my look to a fresh face.

You'll notice that several of the products I linked to are at retailers like Target, Kohl's, and Ulta. Did you know that you can search for coupons to these retails on Groupon? Ok, not just those three... but 9,000 more like Victoria's Secret, ASOS, Gap, and Forever21! I've especially been turning to Ulta as a one stop shop for all my beauty needs. From designer hair products to my everyday make up essentials and quick blowout - they have so much to offer!
